Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 28, 2026
Edgebrief is a product of Pactx, Inc. ("Edgebrief", "we", "us"). This statement reflects our ongoing commitment to making our website and weekly email briefs accessible to people with disabilities.
1. Our commitment
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across our marketing site (edgebrief.io), the authenticated dashboard and Settings pages, and the weekly email brief.
2. What we've done
- Body text on dark backgrounds meets or exceeds a 4.5:1 contrast ratio (WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast Minimum).
- Every interactive element on the marketing site, signup form, pricing toggle, and Settings page is reachable and operable from the keyboard (WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard).
- Touch targets meet the 44x44 pixel minimum on mobile, including the hamburger menu button and drawer links (WCAG 2.5.5 Target Size).
- Forms have explicit labels, visible focus indicators, and error states announced via standard HTML semantics.
- The mobile navigation drawer supports Escape-to-close and locks background scroll while open, so screen-reader and keyboard users aren't disoriented by overlapping content.
- All transactional emails include a plain-text fallback path ("color-scheme: light only" + Outlook overrides) so dark-mode inversions don't reduce contrast on lime accents.
3. Known limitations
We try to be honest about what's still rough. As of the date above:
- Our marketing comparison tables transform to a stacked card layout below 768px wide. We're refining the breakpoint and labels for screen readers.
- The weekly email brief uses HTML tables for layout, which is required by Outlook and Gmail for reliable rendering. Brief content is fully readable in linear order, but screen-reader users may hear redundant table announcements before the content.
- Stripe Checkout is hosted by Stripe, Inc. We rely on Stripe's accessibility implementation for the payment flow; please contact Stripe directly for issues inside Checkout.
- We have not yet integrated an automated accessibility audit into continuous integration. Manual review happens at each material design change.
4. Reporting an issue
If you encounter a barrier or have feedback, email privacy@edgebrief.io with the page URL and a short description of what didn't work. We will acknowledge within 5 business days and aim to fix accessibility defects within 30 days.
5. Standards we follow
Edgebrief targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We review our public surfaces against this standard at every material design change and at minimum once per calendar year.
